Princess Pillowcase Project goes to Cuba

In February of this year a team of eight ladies and our missionary of Bridging the Nations travelled to Cuba and conducted two days of workshops. Twenty two ladies learned how to sew dresses and shorts, and each received a sewing machine and supplies to sew with at home.

We visited 8 church communities where we met with the children and had the blessing of giving out 651 dresses and 320 pair of shorts. We were welcomed with much love and great gratitude, and we have been able to keep in touch with some of them. We are planning a return trip in 2022 if that is in God's plan for us.

Since our return, many have been sewing masks for hospitals, nursing homes, first responders and many others.

Carroll Magazine ran a very nice article abut our project and our trip to Cuba.in their July/August issue. To read the whole article copy and paste https://carrollmagazine.com/spreading-love-one-thread-at-a-time/ in your web browser.

Of course with the pandemic of COVID, mission trips have been postponed, but our ladies continue to sew at home, and we will be donating hundreds, if not thousands, of dresses and shorts to 2020 Operation Christmas Child.
